It comes from having worked right next to a Panera Bread for two years and having black bean soup as the vegan go-to option. I don't hate black bean soup- I just find it underwhelming. That said, this black bean soup is one of the tastier varieties I've had. To me, there are so many more decadent things that can happen with the black bean, most of which involve a taco shell and some guacamole, so Mark made it happen. It was seriously addicting beany amazingness. So, I confess, I am not a fan of black bean soup.
