So I made this again the other night, except this time I also roasted the onion with the garlic (mostly out of laziness)...it was real tasty.

Whoa--that's genius! Why was I wasting the seeds?

I'm glad this li'l guy worked out. It's sort of deceptive because it's actually got a lot squash in it...even though it seems "brothy".

Ryan and I made the soup last night for dinner (sans rooster sauce) and it was awesome. A lot more substantial and filling than we were expecting and easy to make, which is always a bonus for me. We toasted the seeds, crunched them up and sprinkled them on the soup like we would crackers.

This is just so much awesomeness in one blog post!!
I loved that stir fry that Zoa did - it is a thing of beauty and I'm so happy you were inspired and acted on that inspiration. I procrastinate about soooo many delicious recipes I see and read.
I love this meal and it all looks so good. Lots of little things is my favourite way of eating but I so rarely do it because it is so time consuming.
Loquacious is gonna be my word of the day.
