Hey, thanks! We've been recording our stuff for a while, but really only got this blog up and running a few months ago--we were just lurking on everyone else's blogs before that.

I think we're only batting .500 on the maters right now--about half of our tomatoes were slightly bruised or had rotten spots we didn't see (it also got surprisingly warm again). These will go (or have gone) bad, and will eventually mold if left long enough. We've already gotten a few ripe red guys too though.

If we'd known in advance how awesome Baked Green Tomatoes are, we would have been far more conservative about which tomatoes were good candidates for the big sleep.

WHOA. I am in shock. I did not know this very important thing about ripening green tomatoes. Bless your little hearts, my vegan comrades. This will be attended to at the earliest possible convenience.

By the way, your blog kicks blog ass. I wonder why I didn't know about it before. It's great!

I can't believe how much of a true champeen your garden is. After seeing your human-head-sized tomatoes at brunch, I guess I'm not at all surprised that you would also have 10 gallons of peppers, now that I think about it. Our 7 measly peppers are very jealous of your pepper buckets.

I've got buckets of peppers. Literally, two 5 gallon buckets of them. Hot peppers, bell peppers, and some peppers in between.
I'm drying some of the hot peppers and roasting, peeling and freezing the rest.
